Helping people share their stories is personal to me because my own life has been shaped by such a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences. With family roots that span Okinawa, Cuba, and Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, as well as rural Oklahoma where I grew up, my family’s stories alone could fill an epic novel (maybe one day!). I’ve seen firsthand how God weaves every part of our journey into something beautiful. I bet you have, too! One example in my own life is that cute boy I met on the school bus in fifth grade and then married when we reached adulthood. Together, we raised three amazing children who are each forging their own paths. Today, that grown-up boy and I split our time between our hometown in Oklahoma and our homebase in Texas. We stay busy traveling, planning, and always working together on some new project.
